Label Die Shapes


Rectangular Dies (square corners - butt-cut)
 
 A square cornered, butt-cut label's WIDTH is always the dimension that runs across the roll of labels, from one edge of the liner to the other. The label's LENGTH is always the dimension that runs from one label to the next as the labels unwind from the roll. The length of the label is created by a single knife blade cutting through the label material, but not the liner. There is no gap between labels, consequently these cannot be applied with automatic labeling equipment.
 
Customers have tremendous flexibility in choosing the dimensions of butt-cut rectangular labels. The table below lists all of the cutting dies (label lengths) available for making butt-cut labels. Some cutting dies will only make labels up to 7" wide - others will make labels up to 13" wide. The column headed "Max. Width" indicates the maximum label width possible for that die. You may order any width between 1/4" and that number.
