Describing Label Position on a Roll

Oval Dies

Important: If your label will be applied with any style of label application equipment, you must know in which direction the label's long and short dimensions must be positioned on the label's liner. Before selecting a shape, see the diagram in the side bar at right

A label's WIDTH is always the dimension that runs across the roll of labels, from one edge of the liner to the other. A label's LENGTH is always the dimension that runs from one label to the next as the labels unwind from the roll.
