How few labels can I order?

You may order one label or millions of labels. We have the equipment to print any quantity you order economically.

Are digital or flexographic labels the better choice?

Small and medium sized orders that don't require special effects are more economical for our customers when run digitally. When quantities are larger or particular effects are required that can't be done on digital presses, flexographic printing is the choice. We talk to our customers about the costs and printing methods when they order.

Will you design my labels?

Our Graphics Prepress Department does not do purely creative work. That's best done by people who specialize and are in close proximity to you. Our staff does prepare and make changes to text, arranges design elements to fit die shapes, and otherwise assists customers to get their labels to look the way they want them to look. We also frequently work with the graphic artists who work for our customers.

Is it expensive to have my own custom die shape made?

Dies can be made to cut any label shape desired. Generally, they are no more than a few hundred dollars. We do have over 1500 dies available. Most dies available are rectangles, ovals, and circles, but there are a number of irregular shapes as well as labels paired as front/back combinations for bottles.

How do I choose a label material?

There are too many label materials for a wide variety of purposes to list. Our sales representative will listen to what you want and need and make suggestions. The choice of the label's look is yours, but we will make sure the material is suitable for your application.

Can I see what my label will look like before it's printed?

Proofs that are not press-printed labels are provided so that customers can verify that all of the graphic elements to be printed will be printed as customers expect. Proofs also show the placement of the colors, but do not match exactly the colors produced on press.

The standard is a PDF proof that is e-mailed. We can also mail a paper proof upon request. Paper proofs approximate more closely the colors that appear on the actual labels, but are still not exact matches and are rarely requested because of this. There is no charge for either form of proof.

Actual press proofs of labels that will be printed digitally are available (without die-cutting) at $90.00 for the first item on an order. If more than one item ordered is being proofed, the additional items are $30.00 each.
