Embossing
 
 
Embossing is a process by which parts of a label are raised from the surrounding surface. Relief is another term used. Run your finger over the surface of a coin. Coins are embossed; producing raised areas above a flat surface. Embossing is another design effect which can be used to enhance specific design elements.
 
Because we have the capability to emboss both offline (offline means that the embossing is done on a separate piece of equipment after the labels are flexographically printed) and inline, we are able to choose the method which will be least expensive for our customers.
