Texturing Clearcoat (varnish)
Texturing Clearcoat is a varnish which adds texture and depth to a label's surface. Not only does the coating add "feel" to a label, but the angles produced by the texturing process create a subtle reflectivity which further enhances the label's look. Just as embossing adds texture only where placed, this varnish can also be applied to specific areas (an entire label may be coated if desired). It is not a substitute for embossing, but rather an entirely different and unusual "look" - one that is extremely affordable.
Textured Label Materials
For designers and wine makers desiring a textured (not smooth) surface to their labels, but also wanting bright, sharp, colors, Richmark Label's texturing process is the answer. In order to achieve bright colors, inks must be applied to coated, smooth surfaces. Mill-manufactured Estate Papers have rough, porous surfaces which produce muted colors. Our process adds the texturing to any smooth surfaced paper after the labels are printed.
